My journey into residency

As an International Medical Graduate (and a Canadian) I knew that I faced an uphill battle getting a competitive residency. Yet, through it all I have found a way to succeed and I want to share some of those strategies to being successful with you, the new soon-to-be residents of this coming year. I want to help you find and enjoy your new career and reap the benefits of the late nights, long days, and countless hours you have invested into your education for the past four years.

Some of my successes in this seemingly never-ending struggle can be attributed to knowing how to stand out amongst my peers, to be unique, and to garner the interest of interviewers and prospective residency programs alike. I would be happy to share some of that knowledge with you, the prospective residents of this upcoming year and work with you to place yourself in the best possible position for a successful residency and ultimately a successful career.

As a tutor since my second semester of medical school and an informal mentor to many underclassmen I realized I have a talent and a passion for this type of work, and decided it was high-time to formalize some of the counseling I've been giving, and thus firstchoiceresidency.com was born. I look forward to working with you!!
